Our Six Month Check up

We had our sixth month check up on Feb 7 at Children's Nationals Satellite office in Annapolis. Dr. Gerard Martin is our post-op cardiologist. He heard a small murmur and asked for us to do another echocardiogram. Cam did great. He loves being able to peel the stickers off. After the ECHO, Dr. Martin looked at the images and said he was super happy with his progress. He wouldn't believe how well his scar has healed. He said there is very minimal leakage from his mitral valve. However it is so minimal that he is not concerned about it. Cameron still has a 2-5% chance of needing a valve replacement at some point in his later life. But we are super pumped! So after our great report we are happy to say that we have graduated to yearly visits! After the appointment, we did a happy dance to let Mom Mom know it was a good report, had lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and then hit up the LEGO store.
