HKU Day 2

Cam wanted to wake up this morning at 2am. Luckily, I was able to convince him to go back to sleep. He slept much more soundly last night and did not get sick. We got up for the day around 5am. He had a chest x-ray around 6:30am. He said he was hungry and wanted breakfast today. A big win because he has had NO appetite. He ate pancakes and bacon - which I would be proud of on a normal day - much less two days post op! He got his IV out and was able to remove his monitor wires. Our savior - aka surgeon - Dr. Yves d'Udekem d'Acoz stopped by to check on Cam's progress. And around 11:30 am we were out of the hospital and on our way home. We are ELATED to be home. Cam opened some of his Cards for Cameron Cards and gifts and has lots of family visiting telling him how brave he is. We look forward to recovering from the comfort of our own home. We find out tomorrow about our post op appointments with the surgeons, cardiologists and our primary pediatrician.
