Crowdfunding Blessing

I am beyond blessed to be apart of such an amazing community. I grew up on the Lower Eastern Shore and all of my family still reside in the area. After my divorce and the pandemic, Cameron and I relocated from New York back to my hometown. There is no place else I can imagine being and having him grow up.

The past 72 hours has been a whirlwind with what to expect with Cameron's recovery and what has to be done to make sure he is getting the best care possible after surgery. The sad realization that Cameron's father will not be assisting with necessary extra things (like the hotel room we will need between pre-op and surgery day) because he is not legally obligated to was a punch in the stomach yesterday. As a newly single mom, I feel overwhelmed with Cam's diagnosis - but all I have to do is look up and see all of the amazing friends, family, neighbors and community members that rally around their own everyday. We are truly blessed to have landed where we did and be surrounded by so many incredible people. one of my best and most dear friends started a crowdfunding campaign to assist in the extras. I am humbled and truly blessed.

We will get through this and my little heart hero will have a cool scar to show off!
